The QNET7 is Nordost's enhanced layer-2 Ethernet Switch, meticulously engineered to elevate digital audio performance. Unlike many so-called "audiophile" switches that simply modify pre-existing consumer-grade options, the QNET7 is designed from the ground up to eliminate the noise generated in high-speed digital transmission and ensure a pristine signal path for your music.

The QNET7 boasts widespread compatibility and high-speed connectivity. Its seven ports have distinct specifications and functions. Ports 1-5 are auto-negotiated 1000BASE-T (1 Gbps) capable, and are ideal for inputs like routers and other network devices, like NAS drives. Port 6 is auto-negotiated, 100BASE-TX (100 Mbps) capable for optimum audio performance, and is constructed to allow for even more noise control. This port is perfect for streamers or servers/DACs. Lastly, Port 7 is compatible with 1000BASE-T (IEEE 802.3ab) and 1000BASE-LX/SX [802.3z-1998 (CL38)] SFP Transceiver/Modules, allowing it to be used as either an aftermarket RJ-45 or optical port, as needed.

For ultimate performance potential, it is best to pair the QNET7 with Nordost's QSOURCE Linear Power Supply. The QSOURCE offers exceptional voltage regulation, low ripple, and outstanding transient response.
