Norse 3 Power Cables

Norse 3 Power Cords are designed around a clear principle: the integrity of the power delivered to audio components matters. Every element of their construction is engineered to control electrical and mechanical behaviour, creating a stable, consistent AC connection that allows audio components to perform their best. 

Built around Nordost’s Mono-Filament technology, Norse 3 Power Cords use solid core, silver-plated OFC conductors to minimise interaction with insulation and support the rapid delivery of AC power. Norse 3 also employs Mechanically Tuned conductor lengths, further optimising performance and minimising timing inconsistencies. 

Norse 3 Power Cords go even further by introducing AC-optimized shielding to their design, adding an important layer of isolation between the conductors and their electromagnetic environment. By containing the electromagnetic energy generated by the cable, while reducing the susceptibility to external electromagnetic and RF interference, shielding creates a much-needed, controlled electrical environment in the sonic ecosystem. 

Norse 3’s holistic approach to low-loss construction, mechanical control, and electromagnetic isolation provides a stable, refined foundation for the entire system, helping preserve tonal colour, texture, and fine detail. 

Frey 3

The difference between hearing music and becoming immersed in it often lies in the smallest details. Nordost’s Frey 3 Power Cord is engineered to preserve those details by controlling the electrical and electromagnetic environment in which audio components operate. Its five 16 AWG silver-plated, solid-core OFC conductors utilise Nordost’s proprietary Micro Mono-Filament technology, with each conductor wrapped in an FEP filament and encased in extruded FEP insulation to create a virtual air dielectric. Mechanically Tuned Lengths optimise conductor resonances, while AC-optimized shielding with 90% overall coverage helps contain electromagnetic energy generated by the cable and reduce susceptibility to external electromagnetic and RF interference.
