The MOON 860A v2 is a balanced differential dual-mono power amplifier that provides both exceptional transparency and a remarkable musical soundstage.

Incorporating technologies from the massive 888 Power Amplifier on a built to a price approach but with very little compromise. The final listing tests of this amplifier is when ‘3 became 1’. So good was the performance that not only did the 860A v2 replace the original 860A but it also replace the 870A and the 880M mono blocks. This is an astonishing amplifier in stereo mode and unbelievably good when 2 are run as mono block amplifiers. In this mode they are capable of delivering 750watts of glorious power into an 8-ohm load.

Really—there’s nothing about the 860A v2 that I didn’t like. Searching back over my time with this amp, I honestly can’t think of any areas for improvement, in either sound quality, build, or functionality. That is truly rare for me, as I can usually muster some sort of quibble, something I’d like to change. But that’s not the case here.
