The newest addition to the R series - Available from July 2026

The Audiovector R 5 Arreté is the first model in the R Series to carry technologies inherited directly from the flagship R 10 Arreté. Designed, engineered and hand-built in Denmark, it fills any room with a sound that belies its size.

The R 5 features true 3.5-way architecture with bottom-mounted bass reflex loading. But when it comes to the sound, Audiovector has taken no half measures. Two bass drivers operate in carefully differentiated roles: one covering the full bass range, the second dedicated solely to the deepest frequencies. Each works within its optimal bandwidth. The midrange remains completely uncompromised: clean, fast and transparent. Bass that is not merely heard but felt.

At the heart of the R 5 Arreté is the latest evolution of the Air Motion Transformer tweeter, inspired by Dr Oscar Heil’s original 1970 principle. It delivers exceptional acceleration and micro-dynamic precision from 2,800 Hz to 53,000 Hz – far beyond the threshold of human hearing, but not of human feeling.

Standard Matte finishes:

  • Italian Walnut (real wood veneer)

  • African Mahogany Piano

  • Black Piano

  • White Silk

Custom finishes (painted in Denmark) are available on request. Please provide the RAL colour or the automotive code.

Black cloth grille included.

Audiovector’s Soundstage Enhancement Concept (SEC) releases controlled rear radiation in a phase-coherent manner, enhancing depth perception, lateral width and image stability.

The driver responds at the very first moment of a signal, accelerating from rest with a precision that reveals the smallest detail rather than obscuring it. The Accelerated Force Concept (AFC) and Low Compression Concept (LCC) work in concert to reduce driver inertia and minimise air pressure build-up behind the diaphragm.

Second-generation Freedom Grounding® routes unwanted currents safely to ground – silence becomes quieter, detail clearer. A unique three-position damping adjustment matches the R 5 Arreté precisely to any amplifier: transistor, high-power transistor or valves. The new Arreté plinth, with precision-milled spikes and integrated decoupling system, eliminates resonance at its source.

Flagship performance, brought within reach. A sound that fills any room from a loudspeaker built to fit it. Experience the balance of perfection.

Audiovector’s concepts:

Diffraction Control Concept A thick layer of natural felt around the mid-and treble drivers absorbs reflected energy and make the drivers act as point sources. This results in a holographic 3-dimensional soundstage.

Accelerated Force Concept This technology was developed to overcome the inherent inertia in all dynamic drivers. A new propriety voice coil geometry was developed to improve the midrange driver’s willingness to move to small and delicate signals. A light concertina rubber surround replaces the conventional heavy half-roll for a lightened moving mass. AFC delivers a wider dynamic range, a deeper soundstage, lower distortion, greater micro-detail, and resolution – the perfect match with the AMT tweeters..

No Standing Waves Standing waves are the enemy of perfect sound, because they introduce both distortion and energy loss. The R 10 cabinet avoids these problems by creating the perfect conditions for the drivers.

Damping Factor Adjustment All amplifiers are different. Some have a high damping factor, some have a low damping factor. Audiovectors DFA principle makes it possible to adjust the speakers to the amplifiers characteristics. This brings us one step closer to the perfect sound.

Low compression concept A technology which allows the membranes of the drivers to move freely under all kinds of demanding conditions. This means that your Audiovector speakers will stay faith-ful to whatever signal they are fed – no matter how loud and complicated the material.

Soundstage enhancement concept This concept allows you to choose where you want to be positioned when you listen. This technology means the soundstage stays intact, wherever you are positioned. The sound fills a room in an incredible manner, giving the listener a realistic “live sound” experience.

No energy Drive units sound best if they do not have to ‘carry’ the weight of the speaker cabinet to which they are fixed. This is a question of transient response. Inspired by the solutions from the Audiovector R 11 Arreté, we have managed to use the NES concept to achieve an even higher level of realism and open soundstage from our speakers.

NCS molecular realigment Natural Crystal Structure is one of the many invisible technological improvementss of our Arreté models. By freezing components down to -238° C, the copper molecules realign themselves to their natural positions and will therefore reduce resistance. The result is a clear and more detailed sound quality.

Freedom of grounding Audiovector Freedom is a revolutionary grounding technology, which addresses the movement induced distortion of and between the drive units in a loudspeaker. The currents running between the chassis are being processed and dealt with through a new separate crossover, which routes the signal to the ground terminal of your wall socket or your grounded mains distribution unit. These currents cause coloration and distortion between the drive units. By balancing and filtering these through a dedicated separate filter and by offering the possibility of connecting them to earth/ground, Audiovector achieves a clean, very accurate, much more realistic sound with low noise floor.
